At the beginning of last year, around 200 Roma from Miercurea Ciuc were left without homes, following a devastating fire. Now, 18 months later, some of them are still living in a gym. Others moved back, partially rebuilt their homes, or found shelter with relatives. The Hungarian community in the region is protesting the construction of new housing for Roma in the vicinity.
